About THENATURALVOICE
THENATURALVOICE is an open statement supported by industry partners around the world that points to the potential of natural refrigerants as a technologically viable, safe and efficient alternative in the global heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry. The statement has been handed over to negotiators at the Montreal and Post-Kyoto Protocol negotiations in Egypt in November 2009 and in Copenhagen in December 2009. It will be communicated to all Montreal Protocol and Kyoto Protocol meetings that are scheduled to take place in 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya, Bangkok, Thailand and Mexico City, Mexico.
THENATURALVOICE speaks out about the ecological, economic, and social benefits of CO2, ammonia, and hydrocarbons as replacements to potent greenhouse gases currently used for heating and cooling around the world. It draws attention to the positive characteristics of these natural working fluids and also points out barriers (legislation, standards, financial) the industry is facing in using them.
THENATURALVOICE is a positive message to climate negotiators looking for available alternatives to the climate crisis we are facing. At this crucial moment in time individual and collective action is needed to halt anthropogenic climate change. Natural refrigerants need to be acknowledged as a real opportunity to reduce global warming.
The more organisations add their own voice to THENATURALVOICE, the stronger it will grow. It is open to industry (suppliers, end-users), associations, and research institutes to sign.
